Don’t count me on this, but I don’t think the girl is going at a official taekwondo school. Now hear me out, you guys may be like “wat”, but I’ve practiced taekwondo for about 10 years and I’m a second degree black belt. She practiced for 3 years and is already at a red belt, 2 belts away from black. We both went through nine belts, but she took 3 years? Now you see she isn’t a black belt yet, so if I were to go back to when I was a red belt, I would have been training for like 5, 6, or 7 years. It’s either the school she went to isn’t a school that’s approved by the kukkiwon, or she’s the literal incarnation of Bruce lee. Thank you for listening to my ted talk.

The fact a 7 year old can be a red belt shows what a joke and how sime taekwondo is as a martial art. I'm sure it's great for dedication and staying fit but not at all practical. Think of how long it takes to become a black belt in jujitsu or a professional boxer, and just how much more challenging it is.

I was absolutely astonished by their performance, Idk how they manage to do it. I also do martial arts, specifically Krav Maga, and I’m the highest belt in my class. I respect those performers to a new extent after seeing this.

I noticed two problems with how Gav held that board for Dan. First, his grip was not strong enough. When you hold a board for someone, your arms must be fully extended and your elbows locked. Two, the grain was wrong. It's much easier to hold the board with the grain going parallel with how you will be hitting it. For a punch, you want the grain going vertical, not horizontal. For demonstration purposes, you want to give them the highest chance possible to break the board. If you wonder why I'm credible? I used to hold boards for tournaments and exhibitions with a martial arts school. Dan's punch was solid though. He had good power in his arm. I bet that board would have broken. 👌🏻
