Alright, I’ve never been to Texas, but I live in Minnesota and if I were outside at 1am spinning sparks, the mosquitos would probably just form a nest like on my body. They are terrible in MN so here’s to hoping they’re not so bad in Texas.😂 We also have grass everywhere, not sand, so this would be especially hard. For the 4th of July we water our yard ALL DAY so it doesn’t catch fire. (Edit) Also, when you say balaclava to Americans we think of baklava. It’s a phyllo pastry filled with chopped nuts and soaked in honey. Phyllo dough is a flaky, delicate dough that soaks liquids up, hence soaking it in honey. I believe it originates in the Middle East but I could be wrong.

Actually, Texas resident here. The mosquitoes are *absolute* monsters during summer. Doesn't matter if you have full sleeves, they *still* bite through it.
